The 2nd time its a decision. (rant about ignorant drivers).
Driving the 1/2 mile to the grocery store, this woman pulls out from a parking lot into the right lane, nearly directly in front of me. The thing is, she doesn’t turn into the lane and cut me off to say. No, she is looking at her phone and does not realize that she is pulling into the lane. She drives directly straight into the lane, and then stops dead.
I’m going 40.
I slam on the brakes, swerve, barely miss her, and slam on the horn as I pass. She looks up, confused.
She continues to “pull out” using the left lane to turn, and does so in front of another car. He slams on the horn and his brakes as well. Again, watching from my rear view, she looks confused.
I watch her pull into the lane behind me and immediately begin drifting off the road. I notice she is rifling through her purse...
As we approach a red light, she pulls up behind me, in between the two lanes, doing her makeup in the mirror.
Light turns green, I go, she does not. I made it the rest of the way to the grocery store without seeing her move.
Really people. I think we need a mental aptitude test for drivers. They are getting worse.
